Folder Tree Size

Inspect recursive folder sizes in a readable PowerShell tree, with depth and minimum-size controls.

About

Folder Tree Size makes it easier to see where disk space is going without leaving PowerShell. It prints a directory tree with the total recursive size of each displayed folder.

How It Works

Choose a root path, limit the displayed depth, and optionally hide smaller folders with MinSizeMB. Sizes use readable units, and calculated totals are cached during the run to avoid repeating the same size calculation.

Using It

Run FolderTreeSize.ps1 with a path and your preferred depth. The script reports sizes without changing files. Inaccessible files are skipped, so totals can be incomplete when permissions restrict access. Usage examples are currently in the script’s opening comments.
